YOU are undoubtedly the greatest asset to the fire service! YOU are irreplaceable! YOU deserve a healthy long career and a healthier longer retirement. However, statistically this is not guaranteed to you. YOU are 14.5x more likely to get injured that your non-firefighting friends and family. YOU have a 1450% greater chance of injury because of your passion. Did you know that you are just as likely to get injured in a fire today as you would have been back in 1981 according to the NFPA? Did you know that the leading causes of these fire ground injuries is something you can reduce with proper training? It’s because of YOU that I have been committed to firefighter health and injury prevention for my entire 13 year career and will continue to be until we end this trend.

As a Captain of the Milwaukee Fire Department and the Lead Fitness Trainer of our health and wellness program, I have had the honor of helping reduce firefighter injuries by 57% saving the City of Milwaukee $1.3 Million over the last 4 years.
